Services

Everything a technical co-founder would own — as a service.

12 ways to plug senior technical leadership into your company: from owning the whole technology function as your Fractional CTO, to a specialist workstream in engineering, data, security, or AI. Every service below is delivered hands-on — I write production code every week, not strategy decks.

Services

Advisory and hands-on. One operator, twelve disciplines.

Pick one or combine. Every engagement starts with a short assessment so we're aligned on the outcomes we're going after before anything else.

How it works

A four-step engagement — designed to de-risk every week.

01
Discovery

30-minute call. We scope the problem, stage, and fit. No pitch — just an honest read on whether I can help.

02
Assessment

Short assessment sprint. I meet the team, read the code, and deliver a written plan with the outcomes we're going after and how we get there.

03
Embed

Ongoing fractional engagement — typically 1–2 days per week. Aligned on outcomes, not hours.

04
Outcomes

Quarterly reviews tied to measurable goals: shipping velocity, hiring targets, reliability, fundraising milestones.

The terms

How engagements are structured.

No retainers that quietly renew forever, no ambiguity about who owns what. These are the standard terms in every engagement contract.

1–2 days per week

Embedded on a fixed monthly retainer, aligned on outcomes — not hours on a timesheet.

2-week assessment first

Every engagement starts with a short assessment sprint and a written plan. After that, 30 days' notice either side — no long tie-ins.

A handful of clients, no more

I only work with a handful of clients at any given time, so every client gets real attention rather than a slice of a calendar split eight ways.

You own the IP

Standard work-for-hire terms in every contract. No ambiguity, no carve-outs.

On-site in London

Based on Paul Street in Shoreditch — in the room for workshops, board meetings, and critical hires, remote the rest of the week.

One-off engagements too

Technical due diligence as a fixed-fee project: 5–7 day turnaround with a written report ready for investment committee.

Hands-on by default

The strategy stays honest because I live with the code.

Every architectural call I make, I'm also accountable for as a contributor on the same codebase. I ship in Java, TypeScript, Node, Python, and Solidity, pair with the team on the hard problems, and review the pull requests that matter. That's the difference between a Fractional CTO and an advisor who visits once a month.
